Anita Horváth

one day in jail

This installation is placed in formal prison De Vrije Wolf, Utrecht. Just as the building itself, the installation is full of life-stories. The objects are presented on a linear line, although their connections are lateral.

Window frames without glasses.

Stones that are heavy but they feel like an air-bubble. So fragile that they can brake easily.

Monotonous sound of the hammer reaching a solid heavy surface,

sound of the betonmixer, machines and working hands moving determined, composing the music of a working orchestra.

Is it a ruin or is it going to become something?

We are inside of it.

Pipes and tubes are hanging around impotently.

The floor is concrete. There should have been a soft carpet once.
